Welcome to the Alinari Jpeg 2000 benchmarking page. This work is carried out by the Alinari team in collaboration to the 2KAN project. The test is done in order to benchmark and validate the efficiency of various commercial and freeware Jpeg 2000 solutions.

The test that you can see by yourself in the next pages is done in few steps. In the first step you have to select an image and the encoder. Then you can view the result and decompress it and see the overall results.

One of the most frequent requirement requested to answer is the capability for the user to be able himself to compress and decompress an image and to be able to compare the results on his/her computer. The compression process is guided: you have just to follow the numbered steps. Your comments will be of great use to improve this demo area.
